Nurses across the country are now on a ‘go-slow’ and are refusing to continue certain duties unless the Minister of Health commits to giving them a formal document stating that they will receive their back-pay.
News Power Now spoke with a male nurse attached to the North-West Regional Health Authority, on the condition of anonymity. He said all nurses attached to his division have committed to continue protest action, until the Minister acts in accordance with their demand.

The nurse went on to say that they are not holding the country to ransom but rather voicing their opinion on the matter.

Meanwhile, the Children’s Hospital located in Couva, is set to open today at 1:30pm and News Power Now has learnt that nurses have committed to protesting during the event.
